@VN Precision I don't think it will get above 70
Alban, Sauser and Bishop (1, 2, 3) are through Pipeline on the way back #LT100
@race fan with Jeremiah Bishop third wheel, I'd say the Cannondale Factroy Racing guys are just fine!
oops, looks like the long questions show up as two, sorry
Lakata, Sauser, Bishop, all within a second of each other in the #LT100 lead
Rebecca Rusch leads the women, followed by Pua Mata #LT100
I agree, @WN Precision. She never starts fast, but once her diesel warms up, there's no stopping her!
Tinker was in 6th at Pipeline in the second group. No news as of yet if he ages like other people do.
Not confirmed, but I'm being told that the gap between the leaders and the second group is over 10 minutes
Rebecca Rusch put the hammer down. 2 minutes up on Pua Mata who is 2 minutes up on Sally Bigham #LT100
Powerline. Altitude. Climbing. Flats. There are those who are tough enough to finish, and those who are tough enough to make Leadville Trail 100 history. This year we will see both.
What do yellow bracelets, a queen of pain, a Rockhound, a broken fibula and a 2012 U.S. Olympic team member have in common?
All right, guys, here's the word: Jeremiah Bishop is falling off at the top of Sugarloaf. Lakata and Sauser lead. #LT100
Some info on the leaders: Alban Lakata (Leinz, Austria) – Hailing from Lienz, Austria and racing for Team Topeak Ergon, Lakata is hoping to improve on his second-place finish in 2011. Christoph Sauser (Switzerland) – Coming from the cross-country world where he was the 2008 world champion and UCI World Cup winner in 2004 and 2005, Sauser will surely be at the front of the race.
Also, Lakata told us that he was planning on big-ringing Columbine
Lakata is in the heating business. He's definitely putting the heat on!
