Jeremiah Bishop 4 minutes down at turquoise lake. Lakata and Sauser came in at 12:08, Bishop 12:12 #LT100
Christoph Sauser dropped off at Carters Summit. Jeremiah Bishop took his second place with Lakata still in the lead #LT100
Official Pipeline splits: Lakata 11:13:42, Sauser at s.t., Bishop at 11:13:44, but remember that since that time Sauser has dropped off
Next after Bishop was Federico Ramirez in 11:19:35, then Greg Krause and Tinker Juarez in 11:23:40
Nearing the finish of the #LT100
Lakata won by 2+ minutes #LT100
BUT.... second place was not Jeremiah Bishop but Christoph Sauser! #LT100
Lakata: "It was Powerline (where I managed to pull away). I knew I had to put the hammer down." And he did. #LT100
Jeremiah bishop just crossed in third #LT100
Lakata #LT100: "It was a race on my to-win list, but I also wanted to beat the course record, but not this time so I'll have to come back again. It's an off-road race and it's not good that a roadie has the course record in this race" but he also said that the dirt was especially slow from the rain this year, and they had the unfortunate detour
Bishop #LT100: "We'll look at the map next time! We started looking at each other (after the detour) and thinking maybe we should build a camp fire"
Two riders with the official nutrition sponsor, Herbalife24 riders have come through
@Logan I haven't heard news of him yet. VeloNews' Chris Case is riding with the Herbalife24 crew out here, who have been raking in top-20 finishes
@Terri Slifko, the official results aren't posted yet, stay tuned
The women are still 10ish out #LT100
Rebecca Rusch just beat her own course record in 7:28! #LT100
Rusch: "I'm moved to tears at having such a good day out there. I have so much respect for all my competitors and hearing my name out there... It makes me cry!" also: "I think I might fall down when I get off the bike!"
Sally Bigham second, Pua Mata third #LT100
