Sagan will wear the Red bib number of the "Most Combative" rider.
To conroy, from a few minutes ago: It appears that KOM leader Kiserlovski did indeed crash when he flatted, and has now abandoned.
From letour.fr: The top five in stage 14
The day will be remembered for several things - mechanical woes key amongst them - but that takes nothing away from the triumph of Luis Leon Sanchez. The top five in stage 14 is:
1. Luis Leon Sanchez (ESP) RAB - 4h50'29"
2. Peter Sagan (SVK) LIQ at 47"
3. Sandy Casar (FRA) FDJ at 47"
4. Philippe Gilbert (BEL) BMC at 47"
5. Gorka Izaguirre (ESP) EUS at 47"
As for the fair play/Wiggins waiting debate: while the move was certainly kind to Evans, I'd argue there are other motives. Primarily, who wants to be the guy who won because of something like that? Wiggins doesn't want the pundits hanging that one on him for the rest of his career.
"Hats off to Wiggins and Sky. They knew what was happening, and didn't take advantage of things. It shows there's still sportsmanship out there." -George Hincapie
"I heard he had a puncture. I thought we had another teammate in there, but in hindsight I should have waited for him. I couldn't hear much because of all the shouting and crashing. It was chaotic." -Tejay Van Garderen
Logan, Tejay didn't look as though he really wanted to discuss it much beyond what he said there, did it?
No he did not. It did not look like he really knew what was going on over the top of the climb, either. It looked very chaotic. Had Cadel been in front of Tejay I don't doubt that he would have waited and given Cadel his own wheel.
Michael, Wiggins IS one of the most respected riders still in this race. He's the wearer of the yellow jersey and from what I can tell, most people like him.
Sagan's lead in the points competition is nearly 100 points over Andre Greipel.
